BELLWEATHER. The Bellweather Ravens spotted the Kemptville Lions a two-goal lead and still found a way, winning 4–3 in overtime Saturday to take bragging rights in the Rideau Valley derby.
Captain Sam Ellery scored twice, including the overtime winner three minutes into the extra frame, sending the home crowd at the Community Arena into a frenzy.
"We never stopped believing," Ellery said. "This town shows up for us, and we wanted to give them something on a big night in Bellweather."
The Ravens improve to 4–1 on the season and host the Merrickville Miners next Friday. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
