BELLWEATHER. Bring an umbrella. Environment forecasters call for rain and morning fog across the Rideau Valley through midweek, with daytime highs near 14°C and overnight lows around 6°C.

The Rideau River is running high after a wet September, and the Conservation Authority is reminding residents to stay clear of the banks near the old mill and the Front Street bridge, where the current is strongest.

Skies are expected to clear by the weekend in time for the Ravens' Friday home game.
